Abstract

In today's society there is a growing concern about privacy and protection of personal data in an increasingly connected world. In this context, the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) emerges as an important regulatory framework in our country, establishing guidelines and responsibilities for the treatment of personal information. At the same time, security cameras play a key role in protecting individuals, properties and public spaces, being widely adopted in different environments. and solutions to ensure compliance with current legislation. Legal, technical and ethical aspects will be analyzed in order to provide a comprehensive view on the subject and contribute to the academic and professional debate in the area of data protection. For the development of the research, eight questions were sent to a group of legal professionals with fictitious cases about image capture and the LGPD, via email, for respondents to present the practical and legal view on the subject of this study using the entire Brazilian legal framework and the expertise of each of the interviewed professionals. The interviews showed us that there is still no legal provision for punishing the disclosure of images without the consent of the people exposed based on the LGPD, it should be noted that this work does not exhaust the debate on this subject, more work and research should be carried out to that the LGPD be updated and collaborate in the decisions of the courts for Judges and Prosecutors in the judgment of actions on this subject, but always together complementing the Civil and Criminal Code and the Federal Constitution.
