Use of Information Technology to Control the Workday at Home Office

The first practice of remote work occurred in the United States in 1857. At that time, the telegraph was used for work, a system for sending and receiving information that uses electricity to send information encoded by wires." In Brazil, the terms Home Office and Telework are used as synonyms, the expression Home Office characterizes a specific relationship within telework,
referring to the work that is performed at the employee's residence, not anywhere, as it claims to be the concept of telework. The home office, in general, has spread as an efficient and viable means of work, by the modality adapted to the advances of information and communication technologies and by the tendency of a way of working to be widely carried out in the future. The present study had as general objective to identify which tools of information and communication technology are being used in the control of the working day of employees in home office. Descriptive and exploratory research
was used for the development of the work. It was found that basically two technological tools are used to control the journey of the researched in home office. Through the study it was possible to verify that there is interest on the part of companies that use the organizational model of work in home office the control of the workday, including the payment of overtime, the payment and supply
of machinery and furniture and infrastructure for the best performance of the employee and
productivity, adequately complying with the legislation in force the CLT in its article 75-C and 75-D.
